Omar F. Hassan

Omar Hassan, a dedicated advocate with a passion for labor and employment law, is an associate in the Orange County office of Ogletree Deakins, where his practice focuses on a variety of employment litigation matters, including workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, failure to accommodate, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims. Omar has also handled claims involving workplace violence, unfair competition, trade secrets, and non-compete matters. Omar is also a member of the firm’s national RIF/WARN Practice Group. Omar represents employers of all sizes in both state and federal court, as well as in arbitration, in single and multiple-plaintiff actions.

Omar is vastly experienced in handling all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including drafting and arguing motions and pleadings, discovery, and attending court hearings on our clients’ behalf. Additionally, Omar has successfully defended multinational corporations in a multitude of complex civil litigation matters pertaining to commercial disputes, catastrophic injury, product liability, and toxic tort.

A graduate of Southwestern Law School, Omar served as a Teaching Assistant for Torts, the Section Representative for the Business Law Society, the Co-Chair on the Advisory Committee of the law school’s Peer Mentor Program, and the Vice President of the Middle Eastern Law Student Association. During his tenure at Southwestern, Omar also received a Dean’s Merit Scholarship and graduated in the top 15% of his class. Omar received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Omar’s prior experience includes serving as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Louis Garcia, ALJ in the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Hearing Department, where he drafted rulings and researched issues dealing with complex employment matters.

When not providing comprehensive legal counsel to his clients , Omar enjoys spending time with family, trying new restaurants, watching football, playing and watching basketball (an avid Lakers fan), and playing golf.
