Jessica Barranco focuses her practice on class and collective action defense. She draws upon a passion for research and writing to provide her clients with advice and practical solutions to a variety of employment-related issues.

Her experience includes advising companies on complex employment matters involving the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), as well as state wage and hour laws.  Jessica also has experience advising clients on the intricacies of the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination and Employment Act (ADEA), and Title VII, and representing them in all manner of investigations, litigation, arbitration, and mediation.

While in law school, she interned for the Honorable Julie A. Robinson, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas, worked as a summer associate in the Kansas City office of an Am Law 100 firm, and was Managing Editor of the Washburn Law Journal. Jessica was inducted into the Order of the Scribes and received CALI Awards in Legal Analysis of Research and Writing II; Civil Procedure II; Kansas Legal Research; and Advanced Trial Advocacy.
