Olivia Orlando-Donovan is an experienced attorney who focuses her practice on the defense and counseling of all aspects of employment and labor issues for a wide variety of clients. She also has experience handling commercial and contract disputes, insurance matters, government investigations, casualty, transportation, toxic tort, product liability and health care issues. Given her diversified legal experience, Olivia is well suited to provide powerful and personalized solutions to clients in matters arising from complex legal disputes.
Prior to joining Ogletree, Olivia worked at a large nationwide firm handling labor and employment matters. She also previously served as an Assistant District Attorney at the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office and as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the New York City Law Department. At the Bronx DA’s Office, Olivia prosecuted a wide variety of felony cases, including attempted murders, assaults, robberies, burglaries, and illegal firearms possession. Additionally, she drafted numerous search warrants and subpoenas and has substantial felony jury trial experience. At the New York City Law Department, Olivia was responsible for defending the City of New York and its agencies in personal injury and property damage disputes. In that regard, Olivia successfully drafted and often orally argued motions to dismiss on behalf of the City.
In law school, Olivia was elected by the student body to serve as executive president of the Student Bar Association and had an article published in the Albany Law School Government Law Review.
