Ameet is senior counsel in the Fresno Office of Ogletree Deakins. Her practice focuses on defending employers in class and representative actions. She also litigates single plaintiff cases including but not limited to alleged wage and hour disputes, overtime, meal and rest breaks, and wage statement statutes.
Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Ameet worked in various roles, including serving as Deputy County Counsel for the Tulare County Counsel’s Office in California. She provided legal advice to all County departments and agencies on labor and employment matters including employee discipline, workplace investigations, labor relations, leave rights, reasonable accommodations, and federal and California wage and hour laws. She represented the County before the California Labor Commissioner, California Civil Rights Department (CRD), and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
In private practice, Ameet represented public agencies, focusing on labor and employment matters. Ameet has also conducted numerous workplace investigations.
Ameet graduated from the University of California, Law San Francisco in the top nine percent of her class. While attending University of California Law, San Francisco, Ameet served as judicial extern to the Honorable Jennifer R.S. Detjen of the California Court of Appeal, Fifth District.
Ameet enjoys traveling and has been to over 25 countries.
