Neil M. Gorsuch Confirmed to Be the Next Supreme Court Justice

On April 7, 2016, the U.S. Senate confirmed the nomination of Neil M. Gorsuch to fill the vacant seat on the Supreme Court of the United States. Gorsuch’s nomination establishes a 5-4 conservative majority on the high court, ending the 4-4 decisions that have issued since the passing of Justice Antonin Scalia.
