New Jersey Veterans May Soon Be Entitled to Preferential Hiring in Non-Civil Service Jurisdictions

On February 10, 2014, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio gave his first State of the City address and, shortly thereafter, presented his first budget for consideration by the New York City Council.

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced an automatic six-month extension of the validity of employment authorization documents (EADs) for Salvadoran, Honduran and Nicaraguan TPS (Temporary Protected Status) beneficiaries. To benefit from the automatic extension, affected TPS beneficiaries must submit an EAD extension application.
