A new resolution has been enacted in Bahrain that raises the minimum salary required for expatriates to obtain visas for their dependants. Under Resolution No. 8 of 2018, the minimum monthly salary is now BHD 400 (USD 1,060 : GBP 800 : EURO 910), which is double the threshold that applied previously.
Comment
Expatriates already sponsoring their dependants will not be immediately affected. However, the authorities will look at their salaries at the time of visa renewals.
