Ogletree Deakins Grows Kansas City Office

KANSAS CITY – July 11, 2005 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the nations’s largest labor and employment specialty law firms, is pleased to announce the addition of Renee Parsons and Tracey F. George to the firm’s Kansas City office. Both attorneys will hold associate positions with the firm.

Renee Parsons comes to Ogletree Deakins from Shughart Thomson & Kilroy P.C., where she represented and advised regional and national client in many types of employment-related matters. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Ms. Parsons serves as the President-Elect of the Lawyers Association of Kansas City-Young Lawyers Section and is active an array of local bar associations. She is also active in various community activities including the Annual Court Crawl, the Groundhog Day Run, Skippy and Skivvies, and Habitat for Humanity.

Tracey F. George, formerly with Greenberg Traurig, LLP, has also joined the Ogletree Deakins Kansas City team. She represents management in employment disputed, as well as advises employers on various labor and employment law issues including wrongful termination, FMLA, sexual harassment, and unfair labor practices. Ms. George is a graduate of the University of Kansas and is an active member of the Missouri Bar Association.
