Ogletree Deakins Welcomes Three Attorneys To San Antonio Office

SAN ANTONIO – February 3, 2006 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), the nation’s third largest labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce the firm has added three attorneys to its San Antonio office – further enhancing the firm’s operations in Texas. E. Burke Huber, Jr., F. Denise Russell and Adam D. Boland, formerly of Holland & Knight, joined the firm on February 1. With the addition of these attorneys, Ogletree Deakins is now the largest labor and employment law specialty firm serving the legal needs of employers in San Antonio and south Texas.

E. Burke Huber, Jr., a former criminal prosecutor, has practiced labor and employment law for over 15 years and has extensive experience handling employment law matters involving class action defense, OSHA violations and OSHA litigation, the Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, 42 U.S.C. § 1981 claims, the Americans with Disability Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, ERISA, the Fair Labor Standards Act, Texas Workforce Commission Civil Rights Division claims, assault and battery claims, dual employer claims, payday claims, workers’ compensation retaliation law suits and non-compete litigation. He is board certified in labor & employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and is very active with various employer business organizations.

F. Denise Russell represents management in all types of labor and employment-related matters including litigation alleging violations of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, ERISA, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. She is a member of the San Antonio Human Resource Management Association, San Antonio Young Lawyers Association, and Mexican American Bar Association and devotes a portion of her time mentoring students at the Hispanic Law Students Association at St. Mary’s University.

Adam D. Boland represents employers on labor and employment law matters and is admitted to practice in the state of Texas. He has previous experience in the insurance defense industry where for a period of time he worked as a Corporate Litigation Counselor. Mr. Boland received his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and is currently a member of the San Antonio Bar Association and the Order of the Barristers.
