GREENVILLE – May 23, 2006 – The Greenville office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), the nation’s third largest labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce that the South Carolina Supreme Court has certified Charles E. McDonald, III as a specialist in Employment & Labor Law.
Standards for certification are stringent and lawyers who achieve this status must be in good standing with the South Carolina Bar, have practiced law on a full-time basis for five years, and have substantial experience in two of the following labor and employment law areas: Labor-Management Relations Act, Collective Bargaining Agreements, Employment Discrimination, Individual Employment Rights, and Miscellaneous – which includes OSHA, FLSA, ERISA, Davis-Bacon Act, and WARN.
“This is a great accomplishment for Chuck, and we are very proud of him,” said John Creech, a managing shareholder of the firm’s Greenville office. “It takes a lot of effort to satisfy the demanding certification standards of this specialty, and we celebrate this achievement with him.”
