Greenville Attorney Stephen R. Woods Named President of the AID Upstate Board

GREENVILLE – February 22, 2007 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) is pleased to announce that Stephen R. Woods, a shareholder in the firm’s Greenville office, has been named President of the AID Upstate Board of Directors for 2007. Woods has held several positions with AID Upstate including Development Chairperson in 2005 and 2006 and Vice President in 2006. He has served on the Board of Directors since 2004.

AID Upstate is an AIDS Service Organization serving Upstate South Carolina and assists roughly 800 clients and families touched by HIV/AIDS. Services provided by AID Upstate include assistance with housing, nutrition, pharmaceuticals, food, and transportation. In addition, AID Upstate is equally active in preventing HIV/AIDS in the Upstate community by offering free HIV testing, risk assessments, risk reduction counseling, and education services. The agency will open a supportive housing facility for people with HIV/AIDS this year.
