SAN ANTONIO, TX – October 24, 2007 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C., one of the nation’s largest labor and employment law firms, announced today that Sona Ramirez has joined the firm’s San Antonio office as an associate. Ms. Ramirez represents management on employment law matters and has experience handling employment discrimination and wrongful discharge claims.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Ms. Ramirez practiced at a large, full-service law firm in Austin, where she represented companies in a wide variety of civil litigation and employment matters. Ms. Ramirez also served as briefing attorney to Chief Justice Phil Hardberger and Justice Phylis Speedlin on the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio, Texas.
Ms. Ramirez received her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law and is a member of the American Bar Association and Texas Young Lawyers Association.
