ATLANTA, GA – November 15, 2007 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) carried home the Firm Participation Award this past Saturday in the Atlanta Legal Aid Society’s Run for Justice. This is the sixth consecutive year the firm has won this award.
Over the past six years, “Team Ogletree” has participated in the Run for Justice. Each year, Ogletree Deakins employees, along with their spouses and children, sign up to participate in this charitable event. Employees who are unable to participate on the day of the event, but still carry the team spirit and want to be part of the excitement, sign up as a Phantom Runner. This year, Team Ogletree helped the Atlanta Legal Aid Society raise over $15,000 for its general operating fund.
“Run for Justice is a wonderful fundraiser, and we enjoy participating in it every year,” said Bill Steinhaus, managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins’ Atlanta office. “It’s rewarding to know that proceeds from the Run help the Atlanta Legal Aid Society better serve the legal needs of our community.”
