Heath Martin and H. Ellis Fisher Join Ogletree Deakins

GREENVILLE, SC – November 3, 2008 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), the nation’s third largest labor and employment law firm, is pleased to announce Heath Martin and H. Ellis Fisher have joined the firm as associates. Ms. Martin’s and Mr. Fisher’s practices will focus on labor and employment law.

Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Ms. Martin served as judicial clerk to the Honorable Henry F. Floyd of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Ms. Martin received her law degree from Emory University School of Law in 2006. During law school, Ms. Martin participated in the National First Amendment Moot Court Competition and served as Director of Special Teams and National Team Coach for the Moot Court Society.

Ms. Martin earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina in 2002.  A member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the South Carolina Bar Association, she is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Georgia, and before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit.

Mr. Fisher is a 2008 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law.  Before law school, he lived in Washington, D.C., and worked for the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations and the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Mississippi in 2002.
