Ogletree Deakins Managing Shareholder Bernard Tisdale Named a Mover & Shaker

Award honors up-and-coming business leaders in the Charlotte community

CHARLOTTE, NC – October 12, 2009 – Bernard Tisdale, the managing shareholder of the Charlotte office of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), the nation’s third largest labor and employment law firm, was named a Mover & Shaker by Business Leader magazine. 

Tisdale was selected from a record number of nominations.  Nominees must be either rising leaders within companies with more than 100 employees or C-level executives leading rising companies with fewer than 100 employees.  Additionally, nominees must have demonstrated an impact on their organization and their community.  Tisdale was honored in part for his efforts to keep Charlotte’s human resources professionals up to date on the trends and changes in labor and employment laws affecting local employers.

Tisdale has wide experience in general civil and employment litigation.  His experience includes counseling clients on employment law compliance, non-compete and trade secret issues, wage and hour compliance under the Fair Labor Standards Act, performing compliance audits under the FLSA, drafting and reviewing employment contracts and employment policies and procedures, conducting management training seminars, and advising and defending clients on OSHA compliance issues.
