Growth of Firm’s Denver Office Continues
DENVER, CO – June 28, 2010 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the nation’s largest labor and employment law firms, is pleased to announce that Jennifer L. Gokenbach has joined its Denver office as Of Counsel. Gokenbach is formerly with Moye White LLP in the firm’s Denver office where she was co-chair of the employment group.

In her practice, Gokenbach defends employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, wage and hour suits, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and other employment-related claims. Gokenbach also has experience in providing proactive counsel with issues such as hiring practices, reductions in force, workplace safety, compensation, workplace policies and compliance. She has extensive experience speaking and presenting to management and human resources professionals on a myriad of employment law issues. Gokenbach is also a frequent author writing on such topics as considerations and legal risks in downsizing, caregiver discrimination, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), and successfully managing today’s problematic employees, among others.
In addition to her law practice, Gokenbach is an instructor at the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. She earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law; received a M.B.A. from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business; and a B.S. in Statistics from San Diego State University.
