CHICAGO, IL – May 2, 2011 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), a national labor and employment law firm, is stepping up to the plate to support the mission of La Rabida Children’s Hospital by donating $15,000 on Wednesday, May 11 during an exclusive event at Down The Line Rooftop overlooking Wrigley Field as the Chicago Cubs battle the St. Louis Cardinals. The event, which is limited to 300 guests, coincides with Workplace Strategies, the firm’s annual employment law seminar designed for human resource professionals and in-house counsel.
“Each year, the host city for Workplace Strategies selects an organization that is close to the community’s heart,” said Robert P. (Bob) Casey, co-managing shareholder of the firm’s Chicago office. “We are very proud to make this donation and know it serves in an impactful way for the children at La Rabida Children’s Hospital while doing so in a setting that captures one of Chicago’s favorite pastimes.”
Kristin Lynch, the hospital’s Director of Development, said La Rabida is grateful for the support. “We are excited to partner with Ogletree Deakins and happy to share our mission, which is to serve sick children with chronic illnesses and developmental disabilities.’’
