Ogletree Deakins Continues Expansive Growth in California, Adds Shareholder Sean Nalty

SAN FRANCISCO – April 9, 2013 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Sean Nalty as a shareholder in its San Francisco office. Nalty’s arrival continues the firm’s expansive growth in California this year. In January, the firm opened its office in San Diego with Spencer Skeen, and in March, welcomed shareholders David Raizman and Frank Tobin to the firm’s Los Angeles and San Diego offices, respectively. Ogletree Deakins has added 10 shareholders nationwide this year.

Nalty joins Ogletree Deakins from Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker LLP, where he was a partner. A veteran litigator with more than 25 years experience practicing in San Francisco, Nalty focuses his national litigation practice on life, health, and disability insurance based employee benefits matters with emphasis on ERISA and non-ERISA bad faith actions. In addition to his litigation practice, he frequently counsels clients on related issues and has defended employers against claims of breach of contract, bad faith, and punitive damages.
