Ogletree Deakins Shareholder Kelly Hughes Recognized with 2015 Flex Success Award

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – April 3, 2015 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that Kelly Hughes, a shareholder in the firm’s Charlotte office, has been recognized by the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance with the 2015 Flex Success Award. The Diversity & Flexibility Alliance’s annual Flex Success Award honors law firm shareholders who work a reduced hours schedule and the clients that have been integral to making workplace flexibility a reality. Hughes was recognized along with her client, Jill Lewandowski, who is Vice President, People at Carlisle & Gallagher Consulting Group.

Hughes is a nationally recognized authority on workplace flexibility and guides clients in creating and enhancing workplace flexibility tools in a manner that balances the business needs of the client with the various employment laws that may be implicated. She authored the legal chapters of the recently published book Workflex: The Essential Guide to Effective and Flexible Workplaces and travels around the country delivering presentations on the cutting-edge topic. Hughes co-chairs the Flexibility/Awareness Subcommittee of Ogletree Deakins’ Women’s Initiative (ODWIN), serves as a reduced hours advisor, and is an ambassador to the firm’s Professional Development Committee.
