Ogletree Deakins’ Paul Lancaster Adams Named Executive of the Year by Philly Biz Magazine

PHILADELPHIA – November 23, 2016 – Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak & Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins), one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that Paul Lancaster Adams, office managing shareholder of the firm’s Philadelphia office, has been named one of Philly Biz Magazine’s 2016 Executives of the Year. Executives of the Year are nominated annually by the magazine’s online readers as business and industry leaders who are driving the economy forward. Philly Biz Magazine editors make the final selections.

A labor and employment attorney with more than two decades of experience, Adams represents employers in employment litigation, class and collective actions, labor arbitrations, and administrative proceedings. He regularly defends clients in investigations by government agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state equivalents, Department of Labor, and National Labor Relations Board. He also conducts and oversees internal corporate investigations involving discrimination, harassment, fraud, embezzlement, and other forms of employment misconduct. With an in-house and outside counsel background, Adams addresses a broad range of employment and labor relations issues critical to the modern workplace.

Throughout his career, Adams has been praised by his peers and colleagues for his legal work. He is a Fellow of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, named to Best Lawyers in America since 2014, and has been rated as one of the “Top Lawyers in Pennsylvania” by the National Law Journal since 2013. In addition to his legal career, Adams is involved in numerous civic and charitable organizations, including serving on the Governing Board of Directors for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Independence Region, UNCF’s Leadership Council, and Board of Directors for Philadelphia Young Playwrights. Adams earned his J.D. from Wake Forest School of Law and earlier received a B.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University.
