Ogletree Deakins Announces Scholars for Indiana Law Schools Diversity Scholarship and Mentoring Program

INDIANAPOLIS – March 30, 2018 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that Dana Moon and Sahara Williams have been chosen as the recipients of a $2,500 scholarship created through the firm’s partnership with Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law and Indiana University Maurer School of Law. The diversity scholarship was created to benefit a first-year law student from each school and support the development of the recipients in order to make a positive impact on Indiana’s legal community.                                     

Each scholar will be paired with mentors from Ogletree Deakins for the scholarship year. Scholars will be invited to attend a series of Lunch and Learns hosted by Ogletree Deakins and will have access to resume coaching and a mock interview by a member of the firm’s national recruiting team based in Indianapolis.

“Dana and Sahara were two outstanding candidates who are well-deserving of this opportunity,” said Vanessa Russell, Ogletree’s Director of Recruiting and Retention. “We are excited to support the education and development of these two students.”

Moon, an IU Maurer School of Law student, and Williams, an IU McKinney School of Law student, are the inaugural recipients of the scholarship. They are both first year students and were selected from a pool of nearly 20 applicants.
