ATLANTA – September 18, 2018 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that the firm has launched a Manufacturing Practice Group to merge its expansive experience representing and partnering with the manufacturing industry in all aspects of labor and employment law. The Manufacturing Practice Group is co-chaired by Milwaukee shareholder Bud Bobber and Denver shareholder Robin Repass, who both possess years of experience working in and with manufacturers.
Ogletree Deakins’ attorneys have served manufacturers in sophisticated labor, wage and hour, immigration, workplace safety, and a wide range of other employment and labor matters for decades. With extensive experience across multiple practice and geographic areas, the members of the Manufacturing Practice Group keep manufacturers aware of, and prepared for, developments and emerging compliance and litigation challenges on local, national, and international levels.
“Robin and I are very excited that more than 100 of our Ogletree colleagues committed to this group,” said co-chair Bud Bobber. “Together our group reflects more than 1,800 years of collective experience representing manufacturers, and we are proud that The BTI Consulting Group recognized the firm as a “Powerhouse” for our outstanding relationships with manufacturing industry clients. We know labor and employment in manufacturing.”
Several of the firm’s attorneys, including co-chair Robin Repass, were formerly in-house counsel with manufacturing companies and have first-hand knowledge of the employment needs that are unique to the manufacturing industry.
“I saw first-hand as in-house counsel for Tesla, and previously for SolarCity, how certain labor and employment law issues can uniquely challenge manufacturers,” said Repass. “Our group will compile, share, and further develop a wealth of industry-specific knowledge and experiences in order to bring to our manufacturing clients labor and employment cutting edge but practical solutions that reflect understanding of those unique challenges.”
The attorneys in Ogletree Deakins’ Manufacturing Practice Group counsel clients concerning their operations in the U.S., as well as their manufacturing and supply chain operations abroad.
“Our firm is perfectly situated to serve manufacturers right where they are,” said Bobber. “We have at least one Ogletree office in each of the top 15 states for manufacturing employment in the United States, and a total of 26 offices in those heavy manufacturing states.”
In addition, Ogletree Deakins maintains an International Practice Group and offices in Mexico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and France.
