LOS ANGELES – September 27, 2018 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that Lyne Richardson will join the firm as an equity shareholder. Richardson joins Ogletree Deakins from Ford Harrison’s Los Angeles office, where she was an equity partner and practiced for nearly 20 years. Richardson served as managing partner of that firm’s Los Angeles office for many years and as co-leader of their national Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) practice group. Joining Richardson from Ford Harrison will be four experienced employment litigators—Catherine Hazany, Glendy Lau, Julianna Pinter, and Brittney Turner. Richardson is the third female shareholder and second female equity shareholder Ogletree has added in California in the last year.
“When I compare my practice and Ogletree Deakins as a firm, we have a lot in common,” Richardson said. “The firm has shown a tremendous dedication to providing the best possible service for their clients through their Client Pledge. That type of client service is what I strive for in my practice every day. Joining Ogletree was a natural fit for me.”
“We’ve known Lyne for quite some time and are very familiar with her client service mindset. We are thrilled that our platform is attractive to her and that she is bringing her group of talented attorneys to Ogletree,” said Matt Keen, managing shareholder of Ogletree Deakins.
Richardson focuses her practice on employment law, litigation, and client counseling. She has litigated all forms of employment law cases in both state and federal courts in California, as well as before the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Richardson has amassed acclaim for her legal work throughout her career. She was named to the 2017 Women in the Law list by Best Lawyers® magazine. Richardson has also been named to The Best Lawyers in America by Best Lawyers®, Best Lawyers in Los Angeles by Los Angeles Times Magazine, and is AV Preeminent Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
