ATLANTA – August 26, 2019 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, has won the International Legal Technology Association’s (ILTA) Transformation Project of the Year Award for the firm’s chatbot KARLOS.
KARLOS, which stands for Knowledge And Resource Locator for Ogletree Systems, is a chatbot developed to efficiently answer firm employees’ frequently asked questions. The bot was developed by Flyn Flesher in the firm’s Knowledge Management department, who was recently named the winner of ILTA’s Young Professionals to Watch Award.
ILTA’s Transformation Project of the Year award recognizes outstanding achievement in planning and implementing a transformative project within an ILTA member organization. The application questions are intended to illustrate how the organization has delivered exceptional business value, innovation, and transformational impact through a project implementation. Moreover, the award recognizes how the organization has extended its experience and knowledge to the legal community and reflected ILTA’s core values.
“Our Client Pledge states that we will harness technology and innovation to better serve our clients’ interests, and receiving this award reflects our commitment,” said Matt Keen, Ogletree Deakins’ managing shareholder. “We will continue to make significant investments in technology, infrastructure, and in areas like knowledge management in order to build robust capabilities that drive efficiency and enhance the delivery of our services.”
