Ogletree Deakins Continues Growth in DMV Region, Adds Caroline Cheng as Shareholder in Washington, D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – January 14, 2025 – Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to welcome Caroline Cheng to the firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a shareholder. Caroline joins the firm from Jackson Lewis, where she was a principal. Her arrival follows recent growth in the region, including the launch of the firm’s new office in Baltimore, Maryland, earlier this month.

Caroline has 14 years of experience advising and defending regional, national, and multinational employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including policy design and drafting, employment contracts, restrictive covenants, accommodations and leaves of absence, wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, terminations, and workplace-related complaints. Her practice has a particular focus on workplace investigations, and she has extensive experience handling sensitive matters and ensuring employers remain compliant. Earlier in her career, Caroline served as in-house counsel to the National Basketball Association, giving her first-hand knowledge on issues ranging from labor negotiations and immigration to employee benefits and cross-border employment matters. She started her career as a labor and employment lawyer at Hogan Lovells in New York.
