Abigail F. Schmadeke

Abigail (Abbie) Schmadeke is a labor and employment associate in the firm’s Atlanta office. Her practice includes both traditional labor and employment law. Abbie has assisted employers with a wide variety of traditional labor law challenges including labor campaigns, arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges.

In the employment litigation realm, Abbie assists employers primarily in single plaintiff work. Her experience in this practice area includes litigating issues under the Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and joint employer status.

Abbie graduated with honors from Emory University School of Law where she served as the Executive Managing Editor of the Emory Bankruptcy Developments Journal. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where she served as a member of the Omicron Delta Kappa honors society.

Outside of work, Abbie enjoys spending her time cheering on the Carolina Panthers, hiking, and cycling.
