Andrés is an associate in the Stamford office of Ogletree Deakins. Andrés works with companies and human resource professionals to achieve their goals and solve employment issues affecting the workplace. Andrés provides practical and legal advice to employers about complying with state and federal laws, and offering best practices for solving issues before they arise and helps employers craft employment policies to promote a productive and inclusive workplace. Andrés counsels employers on issues including employee discipline, family and medical leave, wage and hour issues, and reasonable accommodation requests.
Andrés also represents a wide variety of employers in litigation, in state and federal courts, before government agencies, and in arbitration and mediation. Andrés handles a wide variety of disputes, including allegations of discrimination, retaliation, harassment, and wrongful termination. Andrés also represents clients in commercial litigation disputes, including those involving claims of unfair trade practices, breach of contract, and trade secrets disputes.
Andrés is a member of the Firm’s Latinx business resource group ODAdelante. Outside of the Firm, Andrés is an active member of local affinity bar associations. Andrés received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut. While in law school, Andrés was a member of the Asylum and Human Rights Clinic, where he successfully obtained political asylum for his client, and was the Membership Editor for the Connecticut Public Interest Journal.
