Ms. Pak represents and counsels employers in a variety of labor and employment matters, including the California Fair Employment and Housing Act, Title VII, the California Family Rights Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and federal and California wage and hour issues. In the area of litigation, Ms. Pak defends employers against claims of discrimination and harassment based on disability, race, age, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, and other protected classes, as well as claims of wrongful termination and retaliation. Ms. Pak also represents employers in wage and hour litigation, including claims of misclassification of employees, and meal and rest period violations, waiting time penalties and other purported wage and hour violations.
Ms. Pak also provides advice and counseling to employers on all areas of employment law, including personnel policies, wage and hour compliance, classification of exempt status, employee discipline, internal investigations and litigation avoidance.
