Arturo is a highly experienced labor and employment attorney who focuses his broad practice on helping businesses navigate organized labor challenges.

A former field attorney and trial specialist with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), Arturo has an insider’s knowledge of regulatory compliance from both sides of the labor-management table. He leverages this insight, and two decades of work in private practice, when representing Miami-based and national businesses before the NLRB, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor as well as in labor and employment disputes in state and federal courts.

Employers rely on Arturo’s guidance in collective bargaining, labor arbitrations, election campaigns and NLRB proceedings, in which he has represented clients in hundreds of cases. He has also negotiated hundreds of labor contracts for clients in a wide variety of industries, including:

Counseling & Training

Arturo counsels employers on a full spectrum of everyday labor and employment issues to help them prevent disputes and avoid compliance headaches. He has conducted hundreds of litigation avoidance and union prevention trainings and regularly helps businesses address coordinated internal and external economic attacks that damage employee morale and inflict financial damage. In addition, he trains supervisory personnel on employee relations issues and counsels human resources professionals on compliance with the full range of state and federal employment statutes, including:

  • National Labor Relations Act
  • Family and Medical Leave Act
  • Fair Labor Standards Act
  • WARN Act
  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964
  • Age Discrimination in Employment Act

Previously, Arturo was a Miami-based partner in the labor & employment practice of a national law firm. From 1994 to 2001, he was a trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board.
