Ashley joined Ogletree bringing more than a decade of experience in employment and commercial litigation. Her practice involves a significant focus on defending organizations against whistleblower retaliation claims, including those arising under the False Claims Act (FCA) and the NDAA.
In addition to her work in whistleblower defense, Ashley maintains a comprehensive employment practice, representing employers against claims of discrimination and retaliation under Title VII and various state and local laws. Her experience also extends to handling wage and hour class actions, unfair competition claims, and commercial litigation matters involving business torts and breach of contract actions.
Ashley is experienced in guiding employers through every stage of the legal lifecycle. This includes responding to pre-litigation demands, navigating investigations by the EEOC and state agencies, and representing clients in mediation, arbitration, and state, federal, and appellate courts. Beyond litigation, Ashley conducts workplace investigations and provides counsel on employment agreements, employee handbooks, and workplace policies to help employers ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
A central part of Ashley’s approach is her commitment to learning each client’s business and listening to their specific objectives. By prioritizing their goals, she provides practical advice that addresses legal challenges while allowing the client to remain focused on their daily business operations. Her recent successes include securing summary judgment wins and complete dismissals on behalf of employers in federal and state courts, as well as in private arbitration.
Ashley began her career as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Richard E. Jordan in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Maryland. This background provides her with a unique perspective on judicial analysis and case evaluation, which she leverages to achieve results-oriented outcomes for her clients.
