Beran is an associate attorney in the Miami office of Ogletree Deakins. Beran has experience representing and defending employers in all workplace litigation and disputes in federal and state courts, before arbitral tribunals, including AAA, JAMS, and before federal, state, and local administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHR), Florida Division of Administrative Hearings (DOAH), National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), and the U.S. Department of Labor.  Beran represents employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including claims for discrimination and retaliation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII), 42 U.S.C. § 1981 (Section 1981), and the Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992 (FCRA), whistleblower violations under Florida’s private whistleblower statute, wage and hour violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) interference and retaliation, disability discrimination and failure to accommodate under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), age discrimination under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967 (ADEA), and unpaid wages/commissions and breach of contract disputes. 

Beran also routinely advises clients, which includes Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and public sector entities, on day-to-day matters relating to their employees and provides solution-based advice to in-house counsel, executives, management, and human resource professionals on labor and employment compliance, employee separations, restructurings, and reductions in force.

Beran received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law where she graduated cum laude and was a Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient. While in law school, Beran gained valuable experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Jose M. Rodriguez and the Honorable Marcia B. Caballero in the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. Also during law school, Beran served as a legal intern in the University of Miami School of Law’s Children and Youth Law Clinic and took part in the law school’s Litigation Skills Program. Beran obtained her undergraduate degree, cum laude, in Political Science and International Studies from the University of Florida.

Beran is admitted to practice in all Florida courts as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.

Beran is also fluent in Turkish.
