Caroline Tang is an immigration shareholder in the Austin office of Ogletree Deakins. Her practice is national in scope, and she has spent her entire career representing corporations of all sizes – from start-ups to publicly-held multinational companies – sponsoring foreign national employees, with focus in the technology, engineering, energy, oil and gas, higher education, and consulting industries.

Caroline frequently speaks on immigration topics at professional conferences and industry seminars. She is a trusted advisor who partners closely with corporate clients to deliver comprehensive and effective immigration programs that reflect their culture and priorities.

Caroline offers in-depth experience and extensive expertise in:

  • Advising corporations on immigration issues arising from corporate restructuring;
  • Developing business immigration strategies to handle workforce changes;
  • Securing visas for all categories of employment-based immigrant petitions, including aliens of extraordinary ability, outstanding researchers, multinational managers and executives, and petitions based on PERM labor certification applications;
  • Obtaining nonimmigrant classifications, including specialty occupation workers (H-1B, H-1B1, E-3), aliens of extraordinary ability (O-1), intracompany transferees (L-1), NAFTA professional workers (TN), treaty traders and investors (E-1, E-2), seasonal workers (H-2B), and internationally recognized athletes (P-1); and
  • Counseling employers on all matters of immigration compliance, including I-9 and E-Verify.

Caroline serves on the firm’s Innovation Council and is the 2021 recipient of the firm’s David E. Jones Diversity Champion Award, which honors an Ogletree Deakins attorney who actively champions diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm, in the community, and in themselves.
