David is a shareholder in the Birmingham office of Ogletree Deakins. He has practiced exclusively in the Labor & Employment Law field for 35 years. David is a member of the firm’s Workplace Safety and Health Practice Group. He regularly advises businesses regarding compliance with many requirements – programs, training, reporting / recording, and record-keeping and guides clients through OSHA inspections, investigations, and the negotiation or challenge of citations. As a member of the Traditional Labor Relations Practice Group, David advises management regarding rights and obligations under the National Labor Relations Act, including response to employee complaints and other concerted activities, union organizational activity, and defense of unfair labor practices charges. David monitors statutory and judicial interpretations of Alabama’s employment laws to advise clients who conduct business in Alabama. He also provides on-site training for managers and supervisors regarding compliance and related risk management and regularly presents at conferences and symposiums on a variety of federal employment law topics.
