David L. Schenberg

David Schenberg is the Co-Chair of Ogletree Deakins’ Appellate Practice Group, and regularly handles matters in appellate courts throughout the United States. David has been lead appellate counsel for matters in the First, Second, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, and Tenth Circuits of the U.S. Court of Appeals and in all three divisions of the Missouri Court of Appeals. He has presented oral argument before panels of the First, Second, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Circuits, the Seventh Circuit en banc, the Eastern and Western Divisions of the Missouri Court of Appeals, and numerous state and federal trial courts.

David also specializes in defending business clients against high-stakes class and collective actions. These cases, involving well-known national and international companies, include claims alleging violation of wage and hour, discrimination, and employee benefits laws.

In addition to his complex litigation and appellate law practices, David regularly advises and defends clients, large and small, in all areas of employment law, including race, age, gender, and disability discrimination, sexual and other harassment, workers’ compensation retaliation, wage and hour, employee leave, background checks, contracts, handbooks, and restrictive covenants.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, David was a partner at a large firm based in St. Louis and Kansas City.
