Donna serves as special counsel with the firm’s EEO Advantage Program where she focuses her practice exclusively on defending employers nationwide before federal and state administrative agencies. She conducts fact investigations and witness interviews, prepares persuasive position statements, and limits and manages administrative agency document requests.
Prior to joining the firm’s EEO Advantage Program, Donna was a shareholder with a boutique labor and employment law firm and gained extensive experience representing employers before administrative agencies and in employment litigation in both state and federal courts. For over seventeen years, she represented employers in a range of employment litigation, including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases, Family and Medical Leave Act disputes, and cases involving state law claims.
Donna brings a unique component to the table as she has recently worked in-house with her family to grow their company and expand its operation throughout the nation. As a result, she has faced the real life, practical decision-making that all employers must utilize.
Donna completed her undergraduate degree at Huntingdon College, where she majored in English and minored in Speech and Drama. She then went on to obtain her law degree from the University of Alabama where she was Lead Articles Editor of the Alabama Law Review, Outstanding Oral Advocate in the John A. Campbell Moot Court Competition, and a member of the Bench and Bar legal honor society.
In her spare time, Donna is a performing singer-songwriter, raises German Shepherd dogs, and enjoys watercolor painting.
