Ethan Lai is an associate based in Ogletree’s San Francisco office. Ethan’s practice focuses on representing employers in wage & hour class and representative action litigation. Prior to joining Ogletree, he practiced at a Southern California based employer-side labor and employment law firm where he litigated on behalf of clients in individual harassment and discrimination lawsuits and wage & hour class and representative actions, as well as counseled clients on personnel matters.
Ethan earned his Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law. During law school, he worked on a variety of plaintiff-side labor and employment matters and also served as a Managing Editor and the Business & Finance Chair of the UCLA’s Journal of Law and Technology.
Prior to law school, Ethan attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, earning his bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in Educational Studies.
Ethan was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. In his free time, he enjoys reading and playing chess.
