Gabrielle is of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Ogletree Deakins. Gabrielle’s practice primarily focuses on the defense of employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act, wrongful termination, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations.
Gabrielle defends both single plaintiff and class or collective action matters, represents employers in state and federal court and arbitration, and has experience handling all phases of litigation. Gabrielle additionally represents employers in administrative hearings, and defends employers against charges before California’s Civil Rights Department (CRD), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
Gabrielle is also an experienced counselor who provides strategic advice to employers on litigation avoidance practices as well as day-to-day employment-related issues, including wage and hour compliance, harassment, discrimination, disability compliance (including leaves of absences, reasonable accommodations, and the interactive process), employee discipline, and hiring and termination. Gabrielle conducts trainings and presentations on sexual harassment prevention, wage and hour compliance, and new legal developments affecting California employers. Additionally, Gabrielle drafts and reviews client policies and handbooks to ensure legal compliance, and conducts preventive audits and workplace investigations.
