Gabrielle is of counsel in the Los Angeles office of Ogletree Deakins. Gabrielle’s practice focuses on the defense of employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under California’s Fair Employment and Housing Act, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, and breach of contract claims.
Gabrielle defends both single plaintiff and class or collective action matters, practices in both state and federal court and arbitration, and has experience handling all phases of litigation. Gabrielle additionally represents employers in administrative hearings, and defends employers against charges before California’s Civil Rights Department (CRD), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).
In addition to Gabrielle’s litigation practice, she also counsels employers on litigation avoidance practices as well as day-to-day employment-related issues, including harassment, discrimination, disability compliance (including leaves of absences, reasonable accommodations, and the interactive process), employee discipline, hiring and termination, and wage and hour issues. Gabrielle also conducts trainings and presentations on sexual harassment prevention and wage and hour compliance. Additionally, Gabrielle drafts and reviews client policies and handbooks to ensure legal compliance, and conducts preventive audits and workplace investigations.
