Halima Nur is an associate in the Austin office of Ogletree Deakins, focusing on employment-based immigration. Her experience includes advising corporate clients on a variety of issues involving the hiring and retention of foreign national workers. She has experience working on a wide range of nonimmigrant visa petitions, including H-1B, TN, L-1, and E-3 visa categories. She also has experience working on immigrant visa matters, such as PERM Labor Certifications, I-130, I-140, and Adjustment of Status petitions.
Halima graduated from Northwestern University with a B.S. degree in Learning and Organizational Change. She earned her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. While in law school, Halima worked on humanitarian immigration matters, including asylum and permanent residence under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), at the GW Law Immigration Clinic.
