Hannah Compton is an associate in the Tampa office, where she is a member of the labor and employment practice group. Hannah began her legal career in Wisconsin before relocating to Florida five years ago to escape the cold. She regularly counsels and advises clients on a comprehensive range of workplace issues that may affect compliance, including hiring decisions, disciplinary actions, terminations, leaves of absence, wage payments, required training, and other employment-related matters. Additionally, Hannah develops and updates employment handbooks, policies, procedures, and agreements. She also assists employers in defending against litigation claims involving unpaid wages, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

Currently, Hannah serves on the Board of Trustees for AMIkids Tampa Bay and is a member of the Cheatwood Inn of Court. She is a proud graduate of the 2024 Leadership Tampa Bay Class, where she gained insights into the area’s unique industries through the diverse perspectives of her classmates, with whom she now shares lifelong connections.

Hannah earned her undergraduate degree from Purdue University, where she was an active member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She went on to graduate from Marquette University School of Law, where she served on the editorial staff for the Marquette Sports Law Review and competed in the Mardi Gras Moot Court Invitational and the National Sports Law Competition.

Outside of her legal practice, Hannah enjoys staying active by working out and playing pickleball and tennis. She also dedicates her time to planning non-profit events and attending sporting events and concerts with friends and family.
