Attorney Jeanelle Fernandes is a Miami native with Caribbean roots. Her parents both migrated to America as children from Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica respectively. Therefore, Jeanelle has a unique passion and firsthand perspective on immigration law and the immigration process. Ms. Fernandes attended Florida International University, where she completed a degree in Political Science with a Minor in Psychology. She went on to complete her Juris Doctor degree at Florida International University College of Law, where she was a member of and eventually Vice President of, the Caribbean Student Bar Association (CSBA). Ms. Fernandes participated in international trips to the Caribbean with the organization to facilitate international conversation and focus on diversity.
Since becoming an Immigration Lawyer, Ms. Fernandes has developed an affinity to EB-1 extraordinary ability cases for creative performers, artists, and athletes as well as EB-2 advanced degree and exceptional ability cases because she has similar interests. However, Ms. Fernandes has also been extremely successful in obtaining approvals for her clients who maintain businesses and would like to transfer various employees to the United States, whether temporarily or permanently.
