Jennifer is a management-side labor relations and employment lawyer who focuses on class, collective, and multi-plaintiff litigation, as well as high-risk single-plaintiff lawsuits and administrative charges. Leveraging her prior in-house legal and HR experience, she also counsels and advises employers on employment-related issues with a focus on their business needs and culture. Jennifer frequently provides training to her clients and assists management teams with incorporating litigation prevention and risk assessment into their business culture.
In addition, Jennifer is a mediator for the Florida circuit courts. In this role, she analyzes controversies at various stages of the litigation process to help parties reach resolutions. She also has past legislative experience, which includes helping the Florida Sheriff’s Association seek amendments to the Police Officer’s Bill of Rights. This experience provides Jennifer with special insight into how the legislative process affects her clients.
Throughout her career, Jennifer has been a frequent speaker for the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), the Florida Workers’ Compensation Institute, and independent groups for the retail, security, and construction industries.
As an active volunteer, Jennifer has served as the Legislative Chair of the Suncoast Human Resources Management Association, was a United Way Volunteer of the Year nominee, and is active with the YMCA having served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of the Suncoast in 2015-2017, a member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Human Resources Committee, and member of the Executive Compensation Committee. Jennifer is also the past Chair and Campaign Chair for the South Tampa YMCA Advisory Board. In addition, Jennifer contributes to Straz Center for the Arts, Moffitt Cancer Center, and Fighter Foundation.
