Jennifer Moore has practiced management-side labor relations and employment law with an emphasis on class and multi-plaintiff litigation in state and federal courts of Florida, as well as throughout the Southeast of the United States. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, and the Northern District of Ohio.

In January 2008, Jennifer left national firm practice to join the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office as its Deputy General Counsel. In that position, she was responsible for direct supervision and operations for the General Counsel’s Office, including supervision of the agency’s in-house litigation and transactional attorneys and budget. Additionally, she oversaw and managed the Risk Management function for the agency supervising its in-house claims adjusters. In 2011, Jennifer took on the responsibility for the Human Resources Department as Deputy General Counsel/Interim Human Resources Director.

Since returning to private practice in 2012 and joining Ogletree, Jennifer represents global, national and regional clients in litigation actions. She continues to bring her philosophy of client partnership to her legal work by assisting management teams in incorporating litigation prevention, training, and risk assessment to the client’s individual corporate and business culture.  There is no “one size fits all.”

Throughout her career, Jennifer has been a frequent speaker for the Society of Human Resource Management, the Florida Workers’ Compensation Institute, and independent industry groups in areas, such as Retail, Security, and Construction. As Deputy General Counsel, Jennifer taught the agency’s Advanced Leadership Training, and lectured for the Florida Model Jail Inspector’s Certification Training. Jennifer also brings her experience in Personnel Employment Organizations to her role as the Co-Chair of the firm’s Staffing/PEO industry practice group focused on all areas of joint employment relationships.

As an active volunteer, Jennifer has served as the Legislative Chair of the Suncoast Human Resources Management Association, was a United Way Volunteer of the Year nominee, and is active with the YMCA having served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the YMCA of the Suncoast in 2015-2017, a member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Human Resources Committee, and member of the Executive Compensation Committee. In 2011, Jennifer took on the added role of Community Campaign Chairperson for the organization leading the Board of Directors. Jennifer is also the Chair-Elect for the South Tampa YMCA Advisory Board.
