Jo Beth Drake is of counsel in the Dallas office of Ogletree Deakins. She focuses her litigation practice on the defense of public and private employers, health care providers, insurance companies, workers’ compensation carriers, and in the defense of a wide range of employment-related claims including employment discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, gender and sexual orientation discrimination, sexual harassment, disability leave and accommodation including those under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Ms. Drake’s practice includes the defense of administrative actions, including EEOC and TWC claims, as well as litigation pending before state and federal courts.
Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Ms. Drake was a partner with a Dallas law firm specializing in civil litigation where she represented health care providers, including hospitals, physicians, nurses, nursing facilities and assisted-living facilities, in medical malpractice, general litigation, and employment claims. She has also previously defended employers and workers’ compensation carriers in workers’ compensation and non-subscriber claims.
Jo Beth received her Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2004 and Bachelor of Science summa cum laude from McMurry University, Abilene, Texas in 2000, majoring in Biology.
Jo Beth is licensed to practice law in state and federal courts in Texas and New Mexico. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the State Bar of New Mexico, and is also admitted in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas; and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Mexico.
