Joan is an employment attorney and advisor with years of experience practicing on the management side of employment law. Joan serves as Special Counsel with the firm’s EEO Advantage Program defending employers before federal and state administrative agencies against claims of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. With a strong in-house counsel background, Joan also partners with executives and Human Resources professionals to provide proactive, strategic employment law advice and counsel on a wide range of issues. Joan brings a unique and practical approach to employment matters taking into account the importance of understanding the challenges of balancing business initiatives while providing sound legal advice. Joan speaks on a number of employment law topics for various local and national legal seminars and also has employment law teaching experience as a Professor with the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
