Kara Goray is an associate in the Raleigh office of Ogletree Deakins. She focuses her practice on employment immigration.
Kara graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor’s in Comparative Literature, focusing on French and English literature. After college, she taught English in Dijon, France. In 2017, she found her way to Ogletree Deakins and business immigration, first, as a paralegal.
Kara received her Juris Doctor from Campbell Law School. While in law school, she gained a variety of practical experience, including in family law and senior law. She was also a member of Campbell’s mock trial team. Her team won the 2022 Estrella Trial Advocacy Competition in Puerto Rico. At graduation, Kara was awarded the Order of Old Kivett Advocacy Award, which recognizes exemplary representation in advocacy competitions while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
Kara is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA).
