Kate is both a domestic and international labour and employment lawyer, and she has a wealth of experience in advising a broad-range of employer clients. Kate prides herself in taking a commercial and pragmatic approach, as she understands that achieving her clients’ objectives is always the priority in the delivery of her advice. It is never a one-size fits all when it comes to labour and employment law and that is why Kate will always strive to understand all about her clients’ business, so that she can provide a tailored service.
Kate’s clients span a number of sectors, from global sustainability companies, to fast-growth tech businesses. Kate is able to advise clients on all areas of labour and employment law, which includes:
- Onboarding;
- Tricky dismissals;
- Harmonisation of employment documents;
- RIFs and restructuring; and
- Enforcement of post-termination restrictions
As well as having an established domestic employment law practice, Kate has also built up extensive experience in providing labour and employment advice to her clients who have a global workforce or are looking to operate in jurisdictions outside of the UK. This means that Kate is able to assist her clients on labour and employment matters no matter where they have employees in the world. Kate has particular specialism in advising on matters within EMEA, as a result of her client base.
Kate qualified as a Solicitor in 2017 and trained at an International City firm, where she was the single-point of contact for labour and employment law matters for a US headquartered global manufacturing company. Before joining Ogletree Deakins in March 2023, Kate helped set up the London employment team of a top 100 law firm.
