Kerry is a business minded labor and employment attorney with more than 25 years of combined experience from working in both corporate and legal roles in various industries, including production and manufacturing, health care, retail, and private equity. Kerry is a trusted and passionate counselor with a focus on traditional labor law. Kerry spent nearly ten years leading the legal and labor relations functions (as a department of one) for a nationwide scrap metal recycling and steel mill service company with a developing international footprint. Kerry has front-line experience addressing complex issues in both union and non-union environments, including management training, defense strategies (organizing activity, strikes/picketing, and corporate campaigns), leading negotiations, and helping employers resolve grievances and disputes.
Kerry is a culturally aware citizen of the world who provides quality, “boots on the ground” advice and counsel with respect to onboarding, performance management, labor and employee relations, policies and best practices, cybersecurity, accommodation and leave administration, and separation options. She is often called upon as a crisis manager or to identify and mitigate potential business risks through internal investigations, audits and assessments. She enjoys guiding employers and finding practical solutions to emerging challenges that arise at all stages of the employment lifecycle. Kerry also helps employers design and implement various people and culture strategies as needed during corporate transactions (workforce reductions, mergers & acquisitions, restructuring and other transitional activities).
