Linda Claxton has represented employers in all aspects of employment law during her 35-year career.
She has significant trial experience representing employers as lead counsel in jury trials in state and federal courts, as well as in arbitrations and administrative proceedings. Her litigation experience encompasses a broad range of employment issues, including sexual harassment, discrimination, wage and hour, class actions, trade secret and unfair competition, and whistleblower and other retaliation claims.
Linda also advises employers in a broad range of industries in labor and employment issues, conducts sexual harassment and wage and hour training, workplace investigations and audits of wage and hour, payroll, and employment policies and practices.
Linda is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards. She served on the Executive Committee of the Southern California Business Litigation Inn of Court. She is a former teaching assistant in the legal research and writing department at U.C.L.A., served as a Special Judge and mediator for the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and has written and lectured in the fields of employment law and ethics.
Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Linda was a founding partner of Lewis Fisher Henderson & Claxton, a labor and employment law firm with offices in Tennessee, Mississippi, and California.
