Meredith serves as Special Counsel with the firm’s EEO Advantage Program defending employers before federal and state administrative agencies against claims of discrimination and retaliation. She also provides pragmatic legal advice on a broad range of workforce issues that affect employer-employee relationships across the United States, including discipline, discharge, leaves of absence, employee handbooks, employment policies, performance appraisals, severance agreements, and reductions in force.
Meredith approaches client engagements with a special understanding of the day-to-day challenges employers face because she has served as temporary counsel on secondment for two international technology companies. She provides practical advice that considers business objectives and compliance with employment-related statutes, including the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, and other federal and state employment laws.
While in private practice in Washington, D.C., Meredith was recognized as a Rising Star by the D.C. Super Lawyers Guide, a designation given to only 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state for excellence in practice.
